Beach time!

Our last week before school starts was spent at the beach. It was a much needed break from work for me. We started off by celebrating my friend Kim's 40th - without kids. The men golfed, the women shopped, we ate, drank and enjoyed the cool beach breeze. We hit up a few wineries, Edna Valley and Talley, two of our favorites. And we had a fabulous dinner at Novo on the patio....I love that place.

On Sunday the kids came (they had all been with grandparents) and we spent the week at the beach. It was beautiful weather! We had 2 full days of fun at the beach. I ended up with an insane sunburn, but it's all fine now. The kids had a blast! My friend Angie and her little guy came down to hang with us at the beach one day, that was tons of fun.
